Odyssey House helps New Yorkers in need overcome drug and alcohol abuse, improve their physical and mental health, and defeat homelessness. Our southern California facilities an environment that’s ideal for healing and transformation. We offer a specialized full continuum of care with residential centers and outpatient treatment options, allowing clients to enter at the level of treatment that is best for long-lasting recovery. Odyssey House also offers provides 420 supportive housing apartments for individuals and families who are coping with homelessness, mental illness and drug and alcohol abuse. The Odyssey House Harbor is a 60-bed transitional housing program for single men and women in recovery from mental illness and substance abuse disorders, who with appropriate case management and medication support, progress to independent community-based housing.

All housing programs offer counseling, referral, and resident advocacy and are designed to support the Odyssey House dedication to continuity of care and aftercare services. Stephanie began fieldwork as a Behavioral Aide in a residential setting, working with adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries and other mental health diagnoses.
Our Outpatient Services center also provides ongoing counseling and support for individuals who have completed our residential program. These programs—provided by our Outpatient Services center in the Bronx—can help you obtain the treatment and counseling you need while continuing to maintain your everyday life. In 1973, Odyssey House led the treatment field with the first residential center to help addicted parents and their children. Early childhood development counselors and a medical staff attended to the young families, guiding their recovery and providing the necessary skills for parenting in a safe, drug-free environment. A second center opened in 1994 also offering a fully equipped nursery, preschool, and outdoor playground on-site. In 1970, three years after its inception, Odyssey House opened the Teen Leadership Center in response to the pressing epidemic of drug-troubled youths.

It was the first publicly funded adolescent treatment unit featuring a full-service residential high school, family and individual therapy, and vocational services. As you prepare to complete our residential treatment program, a housing specialist can work with you to find a safe, affordable place to live. Aileen graduated from California State University Channel Islands with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Chicano Studies.
Odyssey House is a recognized leader in a proven and holistic form of treatment called integrated behavioral health care. We also provide permanent housing to formerly homeless families and individuals, including many with special needs or disabilities. Stephanie started her counseling journey at Gateway Foundation, a non-profit Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation and Treatment Center. Stephanie worked closely with a wide range of adult clients, conducting both individual therapy and group therapy in an Intensive Outpatient setting.

She now provides guidance and expertise to her new caseload of young adults in an outpatient setting. At Clearview Outpatient – Los Angeles, we provide customized care that’s designed to meet each client’s specific needs and unique goals. We understand that people are not their diagnosis; they’re a combination of all that’s happened in their lives and their future journeys. Yes, we provide individual, group and family therapy for adolescents 12 to 17 through our outpatient services program.
Our Bronx Urban Youth Initiative (BUY-IN) is an innovative substance abuse treatment program for teens and young adults and their family members. The free-to-enroll program rewards participants not using drugs or alcohol so they can learn to make healthy lifestyle changes on their own. The Odyssey House ElderCare program was created in 1997 with a grant from the Rosenback Foundation to specifically treat older people with substance use and mental health disorders.
