Continuing Care is for anyone who would like to access continued recovery supports after completing outpatient treatment, or for those who do not meet the clinical need for outpatient treatment. You’ll have to access individual and group counseling, peer support, medication-assisted treatment, and psychiatric services. Support & Join
Trained Odyssey House alumni volunteers who have graduated from treatment to independent living are also available to provide you with ongoing coaching and support. Known as the Odyssey House Recovery Oriented Care System (or OHROCS), the peer-to-peer program provides you with a lifetime recovery network to help you overcome everyday challenges and achieve your long-term personal, family, and career goals. He states, “I work in the behavioral health field because I see the impact mental health disorders and Substance Use Disorder have on the everyday person. I am passionate about helping others and want to be part of the solution – helping them find their way back to happiness and stability.“ In his free time, he reads, travels, and volunteers to be of service to others. The treatment process begins with the primary therapist conducting a comprehensive assessment that, upon permission from each client, includes consultation with the client’s prescriber, psychotherapist, significant others, and other service providers. Our experienced psychiatrists oversee all treatment, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide careful medication management as needed.

Sean is 5+ years sober, has worked all 12 steps, is a dually certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor (CADC/SUDCC), and a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy group facilitator. In Marital & Family Therapy at California State University – Dominguez Hills and has advanced to practicum/traineeship. Jason Sleisenger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and received his Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Founded in 2000, Clearview Outpatient – Los Angeles has evolved into a true place of healing. Our outpatient programs are known for providing long-term recovery from depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, dual diagnosis, and many other mental health disorders.

In a supportive and healing environment, we take a whole-person approach to treatment using evidence-based modalities that facilitate progress from clinical care towards independent self-care. Our program provides tailored psychotherapy groups that meet each week to teach our clients practical ways to handle life’s challenges, ensuring they address each client’s needs. Group-based therapy, individual psychotherapy, and family sessions ensure optimal progress in treatment and help improve each client’s quality of life.
Gillian brings a broad range of experience to Clearview’s Outpatient Program having formerly work in hospital settings, outpatient settings and most recently as a residential clinical director. She understands the flow, the process, and the necessity of navigating each level of care smoothly and with clinical appropriateness. Odyssey House’s outpatient services are typically covered by New York State Medicaid, as well as most major insurance companies and managed care plans.
Odyssey House provides affordable drug and alcohol assessments to fully satisfy any legal requirements. Families and friends who have a loved one struggling with addiction can attend this group regardless if their loved one is in our care. As an Odyssey House client, you’ll become a member of a community of compassionate support for life. Primary Therapist
We help men and women re-establish their emotional strength and acquire the skills to lead a healthy, drug-free life. And we’ll help you learn new life skills, so you can stay together and repair other broken relationships in your life. Katie strives to seamlessly utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and others to find what works best with each client. Katie has completed level 1 training in Radically Open- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT) and plans to continue to level 2 as soon as possible.
Her goal is to go back to school for a master’s degree in counseling and eventually work as a school counselor. Previously, she worked in a residential facility for teens where she facilitated different groups (self-esteem, self-identity) with an emphasis in DBT. During her free time, she likes to walk, paint, hang out with friends/family, and travel. Katie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo while minoring in Child Development.

Success at these centers established Odyssey House as the national prototype for family-centered substance abuse services and earned it the reputation for setting the standard of excellence in the treatment field. Today, as many as 180 mothers and young children are in residential treatment, making Odyssey House one of the largest treatment system for families in the country. Family Center services are slated to relocate to a renovated residential treatment site on Wards Island by end of 2016. Katie began her clinical work at Exodus Recovery in their high acuity locked inpatient unit. From there, she began as a primary therapist at Destinations for Teens where she worked with adolescent clients in a residential setting.
Adopting a non-traditional treatment approach, she partnered with her patients to form a peer-driven therapeutic community. The first Odyssey House program was located in East Harlem on 109th Street and provided treatment for 17 ex-addicts; it quickly grew into one of the country’s preeminent therapeutic communities – catching the attention of public policy and medical experts. After graduating with her bachelor’s, Nicole worked at a locked psychiatric facility and eventually found her way into geriatric medical social work. She worked in skilled nursing facilities as a Director of Social Services and eventually as a consultant. Nicole decided to return to graduate school and get her Master’s in Social Work from University of Southern California (fight on!). As an Odyssey House client, you’ll become a member of community of compassionate support for life. Located at the Davidson Community Center, the Recovery Center promotes long-term recovery through skill building, recreation, wellness education, employment readiness, civic restoration opportunities, and other social activities.
